I Hate the New Yahoo! Home Page

I hate the changes that yahoo has made to its homepage and wish to contact Yahoo! customer service with a complaint. Specifically, for most of the new articles, I am not permitted to "delete" them. In my experience using the new homepage there are few news articles that I am allowed to simply "delete".

I also strongly dislike the fact that the advertisement that is directly below the "Trending Now" section, is not something that I am permitted to "remove or delete". Yahoo gives its users the misleading impression that they are allowed to "personalize" the Yahoo homepage to suit their particular interests. In reality this is not the case at all.

There are millions of things I could complain about with Yahoo, but I will narrow it down to two. First off, this morning while going through the recently changed homepage of Yahoo, I tried reading a couple of articles.

I clicked on the articles I wanted to read and got sent instead to other articles.  This happened numerous times.  I wanted to read about why millennials are drawn to socialism, not John Travolta crashing someone's wedding.  Or about some other article I can't recall that did the same thing earlier today.

The second issue is the homepage itself.  You have a bad habit at Yahoo of fixing things that don't need fixing.  I have put up with it and adjusted but now am getting really sick of it.  The new format stinks.  I know I am not the only one who thinks so.

I am getting ready to dump using your homepage. There are other ways of getting my news, probably more accurate ones.  Now I have to click on a story, then click on it again and maybe, if it sends me to the right place, I get to read it. Maybe.

I can't apparently change or customize it any more so now I get garbage I don't want, nor can I get what I want without going elsewhere.  Plus I am not impressed with Yahoo search either.

I know this is a waste of my time, but I figures, hey, why not see if anyone in Yahoo actually cares about the people who use their site!  Maybe today will be my lucky day.  You have never cared before and guess what happens when people stop caring about their customers.

They go somewhere else.  I am likely to do the same.  Thank you and have a good day screwing up the internet.
