Best Buy Customer Service Desk is a Joke

I went into the Best Buy in Middletown, NY to make a return on 3/19. I had a HDMI cord in its original packaging, with the receipt, in the bag I received when purchased. Because it was bought more than 30 days ago, I could not return it.

No option for store credit, reduced price, nothing! This was a $60 item that is generic in nature and still on the shelves! How could you not be able to return an item you never used or opened because it was the wrong item! Completely ridiculous return policy, and terrible service.

The employee at the CS desk simply looked at the receipt, handed me back the item, said it couldn't be returned and called the next person. I left the store baffled!
